At the Seoul Samsung Thunders Basketball home game held on Feb 11th, IU opened the games by shooting the first ball and also performed a mini-concert during halftime (Note: She sang 'Good Day' and 'You and I' but shortened versions).

As the model for Samsung Galaxy, IU entered the basketball court wearing the Samsung Thunders uniform and received loud cheers from the spectators present. She then attempted to shoot but fell down in the process, once again earning her the nickname of the 'ggwadang girl' (Note: 'ggwadang' is a falling down sound effect). Previously, she slipped and fell at the 2011 Melon Music Awards, and it became a hot topic in the media.

However, IU bravely got up and went back into position to attempt a second shot, which turned out to be successful!

One of the photos showed that IU ripped her leggings from the fall and received a slighttt wound on her knee.

It looks like she was happy to make the basket on her 2nd try and wasn't hurt or upset by the fall. I wonder if being in high heels for so many appearances makes her ankles tired? It is kind of endearing that she can be a bit clumsy, but I don't want her ever to have an accident where she gets hurt. IU, please make sure your shoes are always stable and safe and managers, make sure her appearances don't put her in any risky situations! A woman who falls down tossing a basketball probably shouldn't go on any mountain-climbing expeditions!

Must admit I never excpected that she would be able to shoot succesfully lol (we all know that she's not too good with sport).
We can see that her shooting posture was not good at all and most likely she fell because of this.

I'm afraid that she twisted her ankle right there but probably not. She just slipped a little and her fall was not too serious...

Anyway I'm so happy and surprised that she was able to shoot succesfully. I bet she put a lot of effort to be able to put the ball into the basket

Awwwwwwwwww poor IU!!! Hope she's okay, but that second shot was brilliant, considering she's so small. I don't think I could ever shoot into a full-height hoop. She must've been practising a lot, but aw she looks so cute when she falls, at least she's still smiling afterwards though
