Hey I'm new here. I'm curious about this since the day I watched Dream High Special Concert. When acting in Dream High, IU's voice is softer but when I heard her talking during the concert, her voice is rougher/huskier  Why is that?I thought she has a sore throat or something at that time but when I watched her in variety shows and interviews, I realized that is her real voice. Not that I don't like it or anything, though it did need some getting used to. I'm used to her real voice now, just curious about her voice in Dream High.

Most likely because the singing in Dream High is prerecorded (not sang live) so they usually edit the audio to make it clearer, etc.

And try to keep dream high discussions to this topic: http://weheartiu.com/forums/topic/1721-discussion-kbs-dream-high/

    Closing.
