IU's 20th Birthday Charity Project Banner Design As you know, for IU's birthday we will be arranging for a rice wreath to be delivered to LOEN's office which will include a large banner. The third and final part of our project is to help us design that banner! Since IU has often shown her appreciation in the past for fans' creativity, we want the banner to feature original fan art. That means this part of the project is aimed at those of you with artistic skills. To be clear about what we mean when we say "original fan art", we do not want edits/manipulations of photos. You can base your work on a photo, but it must be your own digital drawing/painting/vector art etc created from scratch. We know there are some amazing fanartists out there, this is your chance to get your work seen by IU herself! You are free to be creative with your design, we only have a few guidelines: It must feature IU in some way. It must be your own work. No personal tags or marks are allowed. It must include spaces for the WeHeartIU logo, a QR code and a short message (which we will add later). We suggest focusing your artwork mainly on one side of the rectangular canvas, leaving space at the other side for a message. If you look at the examples of banners by other fandoms in the first post of this thread you can see the sort of layout we mean (but again, we want only original artwork, not photos like in those examples). Image format The image must be 110cm x 60cm at a resolution of 300dpi. That's very large, but it's important that you stick to this so that the quality of the printed banner is as high as possible. You can download a template PSD below which is already set to the correct dimensions and resolution. It also includes blocks to show the approximate size of the WHI logo and QR code. If you want to change the location of these, feel free to do so (avoid the extreme edges). Download template PSD Your final file can be in PSD, PNG or high-quality JPG format. How to submit To submit, simply post in this thread a link to download the full quality file along with a smaller preview image. We advise zipping the full-size file and uploading to a file host like Mediafire - do not upload to an image host as it will get recompressed. Deadline The deadline for submissions is Monday 30 April at 10pm GMT (7am KST). Submissions are now closed. Depending on how many entries we get, we may then run a vote amongst WHI members to pick the winning design. Questions If you have any questions, you may post them in this thread or in the main project info thread.
